New York Times Bestseller author? Yes, I think that it may happen! Since you are a very accomplished writer already! I also enjoyed reading your page! If it's not too personal I would be interested in hearing about the strange medical issues.

Haha. Thanks very much! Sadly, being accomplished isn't the only thing that gets you on that list :/ If that were the case, a lot of people would be on there that aren't and I wouldn't get anywhere near that list! Sure, no problem I'll just give you the quick gist and if you have questions you can ask them I'm always scared that when I explain this stuff that I'll bore people! Well, when I was six (on Mother's day, I think) my parents took me to the hospital because they thought I had pneumonia. They took X-Rays and sent us home. A short while later the doctors told us that we needed to go to the hospital (I think?) ASAP. Anyway, long story short, they'd found a tumor in the X-Rays. Originally they thought it was in my lung because it was a straight on X-Ray, but they found out with CT Scans and MRIs that it was actually on my spine. So the doctors had to biopsy it to make sure it wasn't cancerous. My tumor, however, is a ganglinueroma tumor, which means that it's intertwined with my nerves, so biopsying (is that a word?) it could cause permanent nerve damage. They did the biopsy anyway (collapsing my lung, going through my side - usually with spine surgeries they have to break the breast bone but they didn't want to on me) and it wasn't cancerous. However, that left me with permanent nerve damage. I can't sweat on my right side (if you would see me with no make up on my left side is red and my right side is normal. Also, you know how your hands/palms sweat? My right hand doesn't sweat) which can be very bad/dangerous in hot places. Georgia has decently hot summers, so during girl's camp I have to be extra careful. Last year I overheated on a BIKE RIDE. That just shows how severe it is. I've had heatstroke twice before, so I have to be extra careful. Needless to say, I didn't go to trek last year Haha. This nerve damage also made my entire right side smaller. My hip, my hands, my waist, my leg etc. All smaller in size but not length (I don’t think). And, my right hand (I don't know about the rest of that side) gets colder easily. Right now my right hand is colder then my left xD It's funny. Also, because of the collapsed lung (we think) I have some breathing problems. It could also be because of the size problem that my right side has. Perhaps my lung grew smaller then the other one. Anyway, Every 4-8 breaths I have to take a deep breath. Otherwise I start to feel like I can't catch my breath, that sort of thing. I guess that doesn’t seem like just a gist? Maybe it isn’t xD Haha. But I’ve had all of this stuff for 10 years, so I don’t really remember what it was like to be “normal” but… yeah Anyway! A year later when my sister was four my parents took her to a doctor because she was falling and running into stuff and it wasn’t making any sense. So they did tests and MRIs and such and found that she has a rare brain disease called Chiari Malformation. That’s where the brain slowly slips into the spinal column, blocking off the flow of spinal fluid to the brain. So when she was four she had two major brain surgeries within the same year. She used to have seizures, but she hasn’t had one in quite a while. We go to a doctor every year to get CT Scans (both of us), but sometimes she has to have MRIs done too. Then about three years ago (maybe four) my mom was having a bunch of stomach problems. She would throw up 3-4 times a week and her stomach was really messed up. She ended up going down to a size 6 (my size) from a size 16 (maybe – I don’t remember her exact size before that). She went to multiple doctors, but no one could diagnose her. This is why I say to get multiple opinions – you could have something totally different and CORRECT and the other doctors won’t agree. Multiple opinions are necessary when you’re dealing with medical stuff. Anyway, after doctors appointments and trying different stuff she was finally diagnosed with a rare cancer (rare everything for us, huh? XD) called Carcinoid Cancer/Syndrome. She had one or two surgeries in which they took out the big, main tumor. That resulted in her losing a lot of her intestines, so she has a hard time handling certain foods. Plus, she had a gastric bypass when I was eight or so, so she’s allergic to sugar, too. Now she has a bunch of mini-tumors (the technical term escapes my mind at the moment… I think it might be legions?) all over her body. She has some in her liver, some on her lymph notes, some in her lungs, etc. She has to go to the doctor a couple of times a year to have that checked out and she’s going to be on medicine the rest of her life. She also has degenerative spine/disk disease (I can’t remember the actual name) that my grandma has. It causes a lot of back pain and she’s already blown multiple disks before. Okay… I think that’s it… xD So, there you go! I hope that all of that made sense and didn’t bore you too much! If you have questions, ask and I’ll answer

I'm sorry to hear about all of the medical problems that your family faces. In spite of it all......you seem to be really making the most of what you have, work for you! The thought of writing one complete book.....let alone six at this point in your life, just blows my mind away!
Have you always been home schooled? What is the reasoning behind this choice?

It's fine We've been dealing with it for ten years now, so it's not really that weird or crazy or anything. It's like normal life for us, I guess. Thank you very much I try to make it all work. Since it's basically natural for me at this point, it's easy to deal with. We just all have to be careful with what we do and such. Thanks! I try to blow people's minds away Haha. I haven't always been home schooled. I went to public school Kindergarten through second, was home schooled through third, went to fourth grade, and was pulled out in fifth. The reason for the last and final time was mostly because of our medical stuff. We had so many doctors appointments a week (at least 3 a week in Atlanta and hour or so away) and the schools were getting mad for us missing school, even if we had doctor's notes. We tried to reason with them, but I missed even more school because my back was hurting really bad and getting worse. So my parents just finally decided to pull us out. Public school wasn't working. We don't go back now, since all of the doctor's appointments have lessened, because of the government control in schools xD My mom is huge into politics and history and such and we all very much dislike how the government is running the country, and the schools in particular. So, now it's a mix between medical stuff and the corrupt government xD Haha.

Yesterday after church I went to my cousins to visit. Then later on a friend of their parents came over and talked about a"Tea Party" seminar that he had gone to. It was kind of a deja vu thing from some of your posts. He said that the founding fathers of this country had meant for our government to be a Republic and not a Democracy! That in a Democracy just because the majority rules doesn't necessarily make it right! He told of how a lynch mob from the "old west" might all vote to hang a person and the majority rules! Then he said that in a Republic a person's guilt would have to be determined by law and not by what a simple majority of the people want! Some of the stuff that he was saying were kind of confusing to me, but the main theme was the corruption of our government. That it had been set up to protect the people and their rights and not for the people to be told what to do by the government!

Yes, the government is intended to be a republic and not a democracy. Actually, our government is a republic. It isn't a democracy. I think I explained that on the Obama thread in the General section The term democracy is misused. Anywho, my family and I (my sister doesn't care for it, but she's pulled into it by us all xD) are very politically active and very much history freaks ^_^ Haha

How many pages is 6-7k in words?

It depends on the spacing. Do you mean single spacing, 1.5 spacing, or double spacing?

5,000 words = 14-15 pages. 6,000 words = 17-18 pages. 7,000 words = 20 or so pages.
It could be different, depending on margins, and where you put the chapter heading on the page, that sort of thing. But that's the average.
