Hey everyone! My name is Erik, I represent a lds-focused youth organization called FAIR's Rising Generation (FRG). I am one of over a dozen volunteers that meet online weekly to discuss ways that we can sustain the youth of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints who are struggling with or seeking to build their testimonies of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm posting here because our work is progressing boldly now, and I want to get more youth involved in it. I invite all of you to come visit our blog at youth.fairblog.org. Our members post regularly there about our work and about the many challenges facing our generation...my generation too, as I am seventeen years old. We've come to call it the Rising GenerationTM. Please come and read our blog and comment on our posts. If you have a question about our work or about the church, we encourage you to comment about it on our blog or write us an email using our form at youth.fairlds.org/contact.php. I guarantee that you'll receive at least a response, if not well-thought answer, to your question. Sincerely, Erik S.

Fairs use to have a teen section, but it didn't have very many member and they spun it off to another site that was soon acquired by LDS.net.

I remember hearing about someone "trying to get a youth group going," and if it was still running, I definitely would have joined that! Unfortunately, by the time I became interested in FAIR, I think they had already been turned into LDS.net. Do you still have a part in LDS.net, ldsgirl?

Yes, I go by the same username: www.lds.net/LDSgirl/

Thanks! I think that that site is a really good idea. Do you know if it gets a lot of traffic? I had never heard about it until I came here. That might be a site FRG would like to link to.

Lds.net is one of the busiest LDS sites I have ever seen. Our team of mods is so big,and we regularly have to edit out things people send. Some come just looking for trouble.I admit I haven't been on in a long time because of how busy I have been, but our team of administrators are on everyday. So yes,we get a LOT of traffic.

Hmm, I wonder if they'd be willing to spotlight FRG on the front page or give us a link somewhere...do they ever do things like that?

Wow I didnt think anyone else got on lds.net but while its big Its also nice to have small sites like this where everyone knows everyone else to. If anyone wants to add me Im James_Fryman and before someone rants about me using my real name its really really hard to track me down because I go by something else here. and its to broad to be of any use

Oh so you're JT Fryman. I was wondering why you didn't answer my emails.
We are quite different from lds.net, JT. Lds.net is an online community for lds members, but FRG is an organization that works on projects that will strengthen and benefit the youth. lds.net members get something by joining, but FRG members are asked to give. We give our time and talents to complete projects that we think will help some youth.
