Casey i can actually said i just barly read it for you. and i have to say. how can we relate to this? i'm not sure if i can? i mean ive never had to protect my city. and go off to battle. im not understanding why you would ask if we could relate to this? are you talking about our troops? or something? and that scripture was really hard to follow maybe i didnt read it right.

the key verse is verse 14, if you have had seminary studying the book of mormon it should sound familiar to one of the scripture mastery's. But try figuring out what the city represents and what moroni represents, and amalikiah, and the wall of dirt if that doesnt help any i'll explain it, its really neat

alright well I'll help you guys out.. Moroni represents christ. Amalakiah or whoever (sorry dont have my scriptures right now) represents Satan. The city represents us, or to make it more personal, you. The wall of dirt that surrounds the whole city represents the holy ghost. And the place of enterance is our weakness or our weak spot where satan can get us to do something wrong. So like if we struggle with swearing it could be swearing or if we struggle with the word of wisdom it could be coffee or drinking or something. Or if we struggle with chastity it could be pornography or unclean thoughts or jokes or something. Anyways you get the point i'm sure.. when it talks of the city being rebuilt in part, its representing us or you in the repentance process, you have confessed or you have repented, had a change of attitude or whatever. So then when it says that amalikiah prepared the lamanites with breast plates and armor and stuff, thats satan.. because the first time the lamanites attacked, they didnt have any armor, they were just in loin cloths.. i dunno if this makes any sense.. you'll probably have to read the scripture again.. but write in your margin moroni= christ and stuff, cuz its really a good scripture once you put it all together.. but since the lamanites came prepared the second time thats kinda like satan.. once you repent hes not just going to give up, hes going to try harder, hence the lamanites preparing with armor this time. And he cant get to you because the holy ghost, but what if one of the nephites decided that staying inside the dirt walls was wimpy and he ran out to battle the lamanites? He would have been slaughtered without its protection.. just like if we leave the holy ghost we are more than likely going to give into satan's temptation because we'll be on his ground. then it talks about moroni fortifying his people or something I dont rember the exact words but yeah.. in verse 14 (the important verse) it says something about making weak become strong, if you turn to ether 12:27 (scripture mastery) it says something about making weak things becoming strong unto us and yada yada sorry i'm feeling kinda sick.. Anyways.. read that scripture again and put that stuff in it.. I thought it was awesome how my teacher opened that up to us.. and if you try i'm sure you can do it with a lot of scriptures. because everything that was written was written for a purpose not just to let us know about all their wars and stuff. but yeah
