I have a friend who is intrested in the church we werent friends untell she started coming and i found out that she was a friend of a friend of mine.
A couple days ago she came to me and said "elisabeth, gretchen is smoking what should we do?" and i thought wow why did she ask me.
I then said "oh, well were did you here that" and kept talking untell i found out SHE Saw it and who else knew.
she then said to me "I asked you because you're a good girl who is smart and knows what to do and can handle things" I was like WOW !!!
ya.
I mean they always said there watching you but i never experinced something like that before....
and if youre wondering what i did about the smoking girl i got her to confess to me what was going on but she said she quit so i am not going to report her. Her mom knows though but her moms not the best person and often dosent punish her and do the right things....so i belive she has stopped and now i am going to fast and pray and see if i need to do something else.... you can give me opions here to..but it was mosly about people watching us..

That's cool lizzy! Well not the smoking thing.. but you're right, people do watch us. I've noticed this a lot, especially now that I'm on sem council, and stake youth council.. the youth of our church, and even those who aren't members are constantly watching us because we are examples. Just the other day a girl in my stake said she always sees me and wants to say hi but never does, and I hardly even know this girl, but she knows me because of the things I'm doing. And when you're a mormon and around a lot of non mormon people, you're definitly going to be watched. A lot of my friends joke a lot about how they can do things because the seminary president is doing it, and even tho they are just joking it's true. People watch her because shes someone different, they know shes supposed to set an example, so they watch either because they like her or because they want to catch her doing something wrong, but either way, they watch. That's why we have to make sure that we are always doing things that make our church look good. That's how people have gotten all these farfetched opinions about mormons and how they're all polygamist or how theyworship joseph smith, because they watch people they know, and thats how it appears to them. So.. be anxiously engaged in a good cause
