the Good Stuff: I got a $4,000 scholarship tonight. ;D I'm so close to finishing Personal progress!! the Sacred Grove is pretty dang amazing. I'm graduating soon!!
And a bit of ranting... My mother wants me to go on birth control before I leave for college. For some reason she assumes while I'm at BYU-I I'll be a rebel child breaking the honor code. I'm a bit more then miffed at this whole thing. I've adamantly refused her request. (HECK! I don't even know how to swallow a pill. I never have before. I FREAK out!!). I'm really angry that she'd even suggest it. And, I'm now wondering if she trusts me. Its just Argh!

I'm sure that your mother means well, but she is worried about you. She probably knows a great number of girls that had no intention of having pre-marital relations, but still found themselves pregnant because of a lapse in good judgment. I have never used birth control either so I have a few suggestions: 1. Know ahead of time what your moral standards are and be ready to vocally and physically say "no", the minute someone tries to get you to cross that line! 2. I never go to bars or parties where alcohol is served, but if you do try to get your pop or water from an unopened container. This will eliminate the chance of someone spiking it with a date-rape drug! 3. Ask yourself how well that you know and trust your guy before you even consider a moonlight drive out in the country or a visit to his apartment! 4. Make sure that you carry your cell phone and some emergency money in case you need to make a quick exit! 5. Learn some form of self defense and be prepared to use it if things go wrong!

Congratulations Lizzy! That's so awesome! I'm excited for you Are you sure the reason she wants you to go on birth control is because she thinks you'll rebel? My doctors have put me on birth control to help with my ovarian cysts. It actually helps, honestly. And the pills are TINY. I can swallow them dry, which is saying something because I can't ever swallow anything dry Anyway, birthday control isn't a bad thing. It helps with medical problems. But it's your choice And I hope it's not because your mom doesn't trust you! Date rape is a huge problem at the BYU's, though. Well, any college, I think. My mom went to BYU and date rape was the number one crime there. I'm not positive about BYU-I, but it might be the same. Be prepared to say no, and never take drinks from someone you don't know, and don't leave your drinks alone when you're at parties. I know you'll have a great time and that you're a wonderful person

She deff wants them for guarding against pregnancy. I don't have ovarian cysts, I have other side affects of PCOS. It's not the medical thing its the preggo side.
My mom actually got pregnant as a teenager. I know she loves me, and she doesn't want me to make the same mistakes she did but its still aggravating. She's only talked about it a few times. But, I am pretty dang sure she'll try to push me for it next time i visit the doctors. Also, I like my period. I don't want to have it fewer times. It's a reminder that I'm normal.
