Why did you had to leave I would take your place, don’t you disbelieve I would, I’m just a useless person breathing in the air My soul cries, for the loss of you, why o why did you had to go? Life made me paralyzed, all I can do is stare
As I ponder… why did God take you? When I was willing to go Why did the cancer had to follow through Pain filled your life, so much you had to undergo When all I did, was prayed and stand by I didn’t know, that this would be goodbye

God put us on this Earth to be challenged. Cancer was her final, and probably biggest, challenge. It is not one of yours, which is why you were not to take her place. Her entrance to the Kingdom of God is one of the challenges that you must deal with. The Doctrine and Covenants, section 121, verses 7 and 8 say the following: "7 My son, peace be unto thy soul; thine adversity and thine afflictions shall be but a small moment. 8 And then, if thou endure it well, God will exalt thee on high; thou shalt triumph over all thy foes." I hope that thine afflictions shall be but a small while, Michael. Pray to the Lord for help in enduring this challenge. Pray for peace.
You're in my prayers,
-Andrew
P.S. That's a good poem. It's very expressive of your innermost thoughts!
