Hey everyone. I p[lan to join Cross Country in the 11-12 school year at my highschool. I'm not one who has ever participated much in sports besides P.E. mandation, not because I'm unathletic or anything, but because everyone else has a head start on talent and training, and I would quite literally NEVER make the team. Then the other day I learned aobut Cross Country. Apparently you just sign a few papers, know how to run, some stuff like that, and you've joined. I bet it'll start sometime in this august or so, for the training, so I want to get in shape before that. Other than learning to run miles at a good speed without fainting or stopping, what sorts of excersizes and stretches should I do? I wouldn't know.

Um... I haven't done Cross Country (I'd die) but you could look up breathing exercizes (being able to breathe is a huge part of XC) and leg strengthening exercizes.
