The other day, I made an important life decision.
Some background...
In sixth grade, I was offered the chance to learn the violin. I declined. One of the things I regret most in life, but if I had accepted, I might not have joined Choir, so it's not all bad. I love choir. Recently (about a month ago) I started violin lessons. I love it. On Tuesday, I switched to Cello. By now, I can play the violin pretty well. I don't think I have much to learn that doesn't involve instrument care or music theory, so I can pretty much just practice it and get good. I decided to switch to Cello playing, while still playing Violin on the side.
I've always enjoyed writing. Jayda would know. Like, writing novels and stuff. Never once have I finished a story, but I AM good at it. If you don't believe me, or would like to read some of my work, I'll give you a link to one of my stories. A few months ago, I had a revelation while at a choir workshop. I want to be a music teacher. I was very, very scared, because I had always wanted to be a writer, and I didn't want to change my life goal. Now I'm just a bit nervous about it, but I think it's a good idea. To aim to be a music teacher, with writing on the side.
Of course, I also recently discovered I adore journalism. It's SO much fun, learning about recent events and stuff. Specifically, I want to write feature stories, like, take a subject and learn about it. I made one about Seminary for the school paper. I'd like to do journalism professionally in my life for some time as well.
So... what do you guys think I should do?
