I really don't like the whole rebel thing.. if a girl in the church has multi- piercings and doesn't wear modest clothes, then I wouldn't think it is hot, I would think the girls with the modest clothes etc are the ones I would like to get to know and who are worthy in my mind, idk it just me. The whole rebel thing with my brother or w/e you want to call it is bad in my mind He get mad cuz we're going to read scriptures, he sleeps in sacrament EVERY week, he use the "That what she said" line, and it's soo dumb, we talked about it in sunday school and in some cases it's as bad as cussing. From the For the Strength of Youth: How you speak says much about who you are. Clean and intelligent language is evidence of a bright and wholesome mind. Use language that uplifts, encourages, and compliments others. Do not insult others or put them down, even in joking. Speak kindly and positively about others so you can fulfill the Lord’s commandment to love one another. When you use good language, you invite the Spirit to be with you Profane, vulgar, or crude language or gestures, as well as jokes about immoral actions, are offensive to the Lord and to others. Foul language harms your spirit and degrades you- Says it right there people. My brother joke around that I'm gay etc, which I'm not. he says "That what she said" which is goes along with " or crude language" When his mad he calls everyone idiots, he told my dad and mom to shut up many times Once when he was really mad at one time I heard him yelled "F-ing Jesus" I forgot what made him mad, I think something about going to a ward party that he didn't want to go to and parents were gone so older sister made him go (which parents would of done anyways) When he was youth age he barely went to youth group etc I'll be quiet now. Sorry for getting mad about it but I just really hate it. I'm with you 100 % Michael! Your brother needs to grow up! Now after reading Jayda and Lizzy's "Temple worthy" condition for a rebel/bad boy then we need to cut them some slack! I'm sorry if I upset them with my cautionary warning about the potential dangers but I thought that they should keep an eye open for the possibility! None of us likes unwanted advice especially if it goes against our own feelings or opinions, but sometimes it gives us a chance to re-evaluate our position and examine it from a different angle and then see if this opposing advice has any merit! You remember when some on here kept warning you about being too trustful of "Jim" ? Well, even though the advice was just given out of concern for your safety......it still was a little upsetting I'm sure! The bottom line: We all have our own path to follow in this life. There will be a great many decisions to be made. Some will be quite trivial, but others may become life altering ones........so proceed with caution and try to assemble your best resources together to make these decisions!

I get everything you're saying Michael. But sometimes I accidentally swear (though his is on purpose) and I say "that's what she said" as a joke towards my friends. I'm not the best person in the world, but it's a matter of accepting how a person chooses to live, no matter how wrong it is, and just being there to help them and try to bring them back to the church without being pushy. Fighting and being pushy about your opinions will only push people away. That's why my mom left the church she was in, because her parents tried to shove their opinions on her.
And I wouldn't date him. He's too hardcore, and obviously not Temple worthy. I would only seriously date a Temple worthy member. Now, keep in mind that I have dated a non-member, which isn't always a bad thing. There are members of the church that are SO strong in the Gospel who are married to non-members. It's not an awful thing. It isn't recommended, though.
There are always two sides to a story. Maybe something bad happened to your brother in the church? I have no idea. I don't know him. But for every story there are two sides, and there are reasons, whether they be good or not. It all depends on the situation.

So today, my brother came home from college, got on computer and stayed there until 5mins till he had to go to work (Mom was dropping off people today, so he was going w/ her) but lol, Where do I start??
Brother got off computer and started yelling at everyone saying "WHERE'S MY STUFF" bla bla bla, cuz he thinks we're all idiots, he calls me one a lot, same with parents etc. cuz he needed his hat and other stuff for work, he think we move his stuff all the time (this isn't first time this happened) anyways, he came into our room, throwing stuff, there's a chair on my bed behind me now, he was yelling said, idk how many times he said freakin. anyways so he threw stuff and I just said "I'm not going to pick that up" and he just came at me (I was sitting down, he came at the back) and punch me at the back hard... lol I'mma used to it he does stuff like that a lot.
so I told mom, of course and she got mad, went to go find him when he was still finding his stuff cuz "we moved it" heard "If you lay a hand on anyone else in this house then I'll lay my hand on you" something like that.
He hangs out with people who smoke, this one guy who's his friend kept smoking in my dad's car.. parents got so mad with that they even talked to the guy, guy said he would stop... but he didn't hahahaha, soooo yeah so funny, eh?.. he goes to mosh pits, idk if you guys know what they are... it's when a band is playing heavy metal and the people listening it to start getting in fights, pushing people around etc.
There is no love coming from me to my brother, I'm glad his moving out in a week and a half, to go live with another friend of his (not the smoker bout the car)... only thing I'm mad about is his taking the gaming computer w/ him cuz it's his.
he goes out at nights, come back at like 3-5am... he haven't been going to church for weeks, my mom forced him to go last week cuz it was Easter.
I was the first kid in my family to get a patriarchal blessing, my sister (21) still doesn't have hers and of course not my older brother (his 19), I'll be the first one to go on a mission too.
He still got the eyebrow pricing, the long black hair etc if you guys didn't know, the word freakin replace the f word, don't believe me, google it.

wow.... just wow. this is the same guy that took one of his swords and put to my brother's throat, cuz something happened, they were debating one a silly thing.
the sword wasn't that sharp, it's for training, but it can still hurt and he "pose" for pics like that, like in all of his other pics.... he think it looks "cool" he takes pics, if he doesn't like how he looks, he'll delete it and take new pic, until he gets a pic like the one I post

Your brother does sound like he has anger management problems. But Liz and I don't know him, so we don't want to just assume that he's a bad person. He sounds lost and confused and honestly people like that, in my experience, just want to be understood and accepted. I don't know him, so I can't make that judgment. He does have problems, and he should definitely be calmer and more respectful. I have no doubt about that. He does need to act better in order to gain respect.
That being said, he doesn't have the calming Spirit with him. That much is clear to me. Because he doesn't have the Spirit, he doesn't understand why he must feel the way he does. Have you ever had a time when you had the Spirit and then something happened and it just went away? That must be how he feels all the time. That can't make him feel/act any better.
I know it's hard. I totally understand how difficult it can be to deal with someone who just never treats you well or with respect. I have a few people like that in my life. It has to be that much harder for you because you live with him. That being said, please try to have an eternal perspective and a Christlike attitude towards him. President Hinckley once said that the best way to get over our own struggles and trials is to serve others, even and especially those we have problems with. I know you may not want to, but if you go into service towards your brother with an open heart and mind, knowing that God will bless you if you do it for the right reasons, you will be blessed. Maybe (and hopefully) your brother will have a change of heart, even if it's only towards you. I did the same thing with my sister. I was really reluctant. But as soon as I started serving her and telling her I loved her there was a huge change in our relationship and she really started progressing and getting better. I'm not where I could or should be, when it comes to closeness with her. But it has helped.
Do you say your prayers morning and night and even in between? Do you read your scriptures at LEAST once a day, if not more than that? I know for a fact, and I promise, that if you do these things with dilligence you will feel a difference in your happiness and your life. We all have trials. They're for a reason. You have to prove to God that you're worthy to receive the blessings that He wants to give you in your time of struggle.
Be patient. No pain or trial lasts forever. Trust God. He knows what He's doing, and we don't know better than Him.

idk....
He has AS too, not the kind of symptoms I do, he has a short tempter, just like my sister (whos 8), you tell her to do something (like a simple chore) and she start getting mad about it, when my brother was still young, a kid always at church he slept for the first hour, he still does that. it just how he is
haha, my younger brother, comes home from school, plays piano then get on computer... he WON'T do any chores, mom tells him to do something, he says "yeh, just a sec".... 40mins later, still nothing, he says same thing.. so I get stick doing his jobs too, i'm the job slacker person, to do the other jobs... my mom tired to get my younger brother to do one simple job.. help bring in food from car.... did he came out?.... nope, I carried it all in, about 9-11 trips.
No matter what any of you guys say, I don't like my sibs right now, I would be happy to go some where else, more then happy.
the anger problems run in family as u may tell from sister and brother.

Brother, last night after work he got home and got in his car to go to his friend house.. (car has been having some car problems) anyways so he left, didn't come home at night, I woke up today for church and dad was gone went to go pick him up.. (he spent night at friend house) they were searching where my brother left his car, my mom figure his car wasn't starting up cuz it has been having some problems..
But when I got home from church (I had choir, so I got home a hour later) I heard mom and dad talking about Zach.. mom said his eyes (the white part) isn't that white.. and mom said it only happens like that if you got something in your system... parents are thinking he used some drugs last night
Reasons: the eyes, he parked his car somewhere people aren't even allow to park it, they spent a hour and a half trying to find the car. I knew someday this will happen
