So, I have this guy friend. Jake. We talk all the time, I do a bible study class with him(study not bible bashing.) , we debate on things and get along pretty well. He gets really nervous around me (and everyone says he likes me.) He constantly compliments me, talks my problems out with me and always after a debate/discussion about anything asks if I'm okay as if he could have possibly offended me. So, he's an all around nice guy and good friend. And, he starts hinting at how good friends we've gotten. Hes started inviting me to these church things of his (and he knows I'm really strong LDS and we don't try and convert each other). So, I show up to this Christmas party and the youth leader comes to me and says "Tou must be the famous Liz." And, I shake hands (introduce myself Mormon style ) and Jake just shrugs. So, he basically told me the other day he liked me...but then awhile ago he said he doesn't plan on dating anyone not his religion or who he could see himself marrying. It just irks me how he does one thing says the other ect. I mean, I know its totally normal. I just like forward guys and I wish there was some kind of sign that popped up on peoples foreheads when they liked you. Life would be easier. Anyway, I just wanted to rant onward and avoid my homework. Bottom line- Guys: Dont send mixed signals. They suck.

Yeah I was going to agree with Shadow, it's not a male-only quality. But all the same, yes, mixed signals suck.

Maybe we feel like guys do it more than girls cause we're straight and we don't deal with female mixed signals at all? I agree - both genders send mixed signals. And both genders can be immature, and dumb, and annoying, etcetera. It's not really one or the other - it's both gender combined.
