Hello everyone. I jsut typed up 6,000 characters of my life on the emtional help thread.
then when I tried to post it, it got deleted.
>_> Grrrrrrrrrrwwwwlll................
Anyways, it felt nice to type it all up, and I felt better afterwards, albeit frustrated when it didn't post, but something else came to my mind.
Singing.
Now then, I'm in my school and ward choirs. I LOVE singing. ALWAYS have. I inherited my mother's, my father's, my grandpa's, and my great grandpa's singing talent. Oh, and sometimes I actually sing really well.
My problem: the rest of the time, I have bad technique (Cause I've never really had any skills in singing that well, my only chances to be in choir before freshman year that I pursued were answered with rejections or cancellations, and a LOT of critiscism from my sister, so I never learned how to sing properly.) I sometimes get confused with the song, and when I sing in my head voice, I get this weird syntax that isn't normally in my voice. It doesn't sound to great.
Anyways, although my mom majored in music for 2 years in college, she's a high soprano. I'ma high (VERY high) tenor. Infact, most of my singing range is in my head voice. I can hit a lot of those girly notes. So that problem with singing in my head voice is pretty annoying sometimes.
I was just wondering if any of you guys had pointers on singing better? Also, my mom seems to be able to sing for hours on end and not get tired, while I can only go for so long before my vocal cords start to hurt. I think this is because of technique, but I'm not 100% sure.
