YES! I am not the only person who was afraid of the vacuum when they were younger! *high-five* I have a little bit of that too, it's not all that weird. Like, if I slowly turn the volume up, I bet I could listen to the loudest thing humanly possible. But if somebody just flicks on a switch and something is obnoxiously loud, I almost get sick to my stomach, and my heart decides to pull a dance on me! Does that sound like what you have? lol so I know this thread is on a TOTALLY different subject than it started on (Great job with keeping on topic, by the way!! lol jk jk) .. but I'm still a postin' on suhbjenkt! So..... My weakness is... Loud noise. lol That probably sounds ENTIRELY ridiculous, but it's true! Ever since I was a baby, I've had this.. heightened awareness of what is going on around me. For instance- A few days ago, I was sitting in our front room. Two rooms away, my mother turned on the vacuum. The noise was SO overwhelming, I couldn't even move, because I was SSOOO scared I knew it was just the vacuum. Rationally, there was no reason for me to feel scared- but I was horrified. ..And not even just when the vacuum started- it was the WHOLE time the vacuum was running. IT was so bad, I had a panic attack, and was hyperventilating. I could hardly breathe. The noise was just so overwhelming for me, I can't handle it. Ridiculous, I know! lol But I guess everyone has different reactions to different things Yep! SO.. That's MY weakness!!! Mary_Lynn, Maybe you could make a recording of the vacuum noise and slowly turn up and down the sound so that your mind could get use to it.......you know..."desenthesized" to the sound.......because you would be in control with the volume knob!

Ive been blessed with excellent health and I hardly ever get sick and untill just last week Ive never had an allergic reaction to something. What happened is that I had to get medicine for a small infection (I swear the doctor got it wrong because she keep going on and on about mono and Im just thinking 'What??? I dont have any of those symptons!') but anyways.... a day after taking the medicine I woke up and the left side of my face looked like chipmunk and just to make things worse I had to stop taking my acne medicine so my face has broke out again and my infection is still there

Are your jaws very sore? I don't get sick very often either. I've had a perfect attendance since about the fourth or fifth grade. I hope that you get well soon! Best wishes! Jenni

Yeah sounds like you may have had a dose of the wrong medicine. Hopefully things will work out man!
Also, hah, kind of cool to see this thread again, going back to that date. And I've learned a lesson that relates to this topic:
Shortly after that incident from the first post I began to continually worry that it would happen again, to such a degree where I actually had an anxiety disorder that I had to talk to a doctor for. It got to be so bad that I could be in math class and would have a panic attack (I wouldn't like, flail on the floor or anything), but my breathing would pick up and my friends would say my face just looked like a deer in the headlights). This increased anxiety made me sweat more too, so I was panicked in school all the time about either sweating to a point where it'd be visible or passing out.
So those were my weaknesses. But there are always ways to overcome weaknesses.
After thinking about it, I figured out one way to cope. And then I found another. And then another. And I began to get calmer by the day. It was a long process, the first time I really feel like I overcame the anxiety was during the last quarter of my last school year! And today, I can sit through a class without a problem and focus. It's one of those things you take for granted. So even mental weaknesses or phases are ones that you can overcome.

So even mental weaknesses or phases are ones that you can overcome. Oh yeah I have ADHD and its really noticable after Ive had a lot of sugar but most times that happens it usually ends up being funny. addictions are horrible though

Yeah well, AC/DC is good too lol. Yep! Air Conditioned Doctrine and Covenatns are the BEST! Yeah. That was a pun. I suppose my weakness is I can laugh at almost anything. Although, someone might say a joke that most find funny, but then I think its totally stupid. ... Whoa. I have some really corrupted friends.

Well, shadow, I think you were right when you said "I think we're going to be good freinds" ...except in your words, worse grammar, and no quotation marks.... ;D Anyways, I realized another weakness. Against only this one guy at my school, I can basically take anything that anyone throws at me (in like, a fight that is. Kicking, punching, etc.) and either turn it against them, or hit them twice as hard and twice as much. Sadly, this kid is not only my eternal tormenter (Me-speak for bully) but also one of my best friends. Though today at Mutual, I was lucky enough to get a piece of candy, half of which I gave to him (He's a total addict) and a cookie, which I gave some to him. Now he's not going to hurt me tommarow.
