What are your favorite books? I've been on a reading fettish right now, which is odd for me since usually I mainly write. I've read about ten to twenty books in the last month (which, yes, is extremely surprising for me). So I was wondering what you're reading? I just finished Message in a Bottle by Nicholas Sparks. I LOVE Nicholas Sparks, but I recommend not reading Message in a Bottle or The Notebook, for a few reasons. 1) They're kind of boring. The Notebook is a lot more boring than Message in a Bottle, but it takes Message in a Bottle 110+ pages to get interesting. 2) They have sex scenes in them. There's no need for that. I'm having my mom cross them out so that, if I were to ever for some reason read them again, I won't have to deal with them again. I, personally, recommend The Last Song. That book is AMAZING. It has to be one of my favorite books of all-time. I love love love love LOVE it! Haha So, what're you reading now? What's your favorite book? What books would you never recommend and why? I just started To Kill A Mockingbird. What about you?

Wow, a week?! I'm lucky to get through one a week... If the book draws me in, or I can skim through a lot of it because it's full of description than I can get through it usually in 2-4 days... But To Kill A Mockingbird is kind of killing me xD Haha. I'm only page... I don't know... 23? I'll have to look them up!

It's alright so far... My dad loved it when he was a teenager (which was rare for him since the closest thing he did to reading then involved comic books) so I'm hoping that it'll get better... He said the same thing about Lord of the Flies and it took me six months to get through :/

I liked To Kill a Mockingbird, it had a cool twist at the end, though it was pretty sad in the middle.

Okay. As long as it seems to get better Not that it's bad, but... it's a little... "boring" I guess? I'll get through it purely for the twist Haha.

To Kill A Mockingbird has to be one of the BEST books I've ever read. It's AMAZING! I love it!!!
Now I'm reading The Alchemist, which hopefully I'll be done with in the next couple of days. After that, I'm not sure... Perhaps I'll read The Davinci Code or something...

I love watching the Studio Ghibli movies. Porko Roso and Howl's Moving Castle are two of the coolest movies I've seen! I used to watch a lot of anime shows and the only reason I stopped is...well there wasn't a reason really. But in order to get into an anime tv series, you have to watch them consistently or it will make no sense.

Howl's Moving Castle is amazing. Have you seen Spirited Away, Erik? That's my favorite ever, I think. Hahahaha, I agree - you have to watch them consistently or it really will make no sense at all. Anyway, back to books: I finished reading The Alchemist today! It took longer then expected, but I've been busy most of the time. If you scrunch together all of the time that I was actually able to read, I read this book in about two days. Anywho, it's SO great! It's very spiritual and has a buttload of symbolism. Ah. It's good It takes a little bit to get into, in my case, but the ending is worth it all. Now I'm reading The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. So far so good. It's not super clean (the girl is raped in the first few chapters) BUT it's not descriptive, which is good within itself. It could definitely be a lot worse. I like it so far.

Howls Moving Castle is good, But Spirited away is possible one of the best movies (Anime wise) That Ive ever seen.
And Im still ubsessed with mangas and anime, currently naruto is my fav and fairy tail has gained alot of popularity recently and its good. Naruto is just one of those mangas that keeps going, doesnt get old, and has a really good theme that could inspire someone.

I just finished The Lovely Bones. It's definitely not the cleanest book, nor is it the best. Eh. It was alright. I don't really recommend it because of how much sexual content is in it. Luckily isn't not generally graphic, but it's ridiculous, nonetheless. The plot is weird, and the ending is weird... I mean, I loved the last few paragraphs, but I don't like what happens with the murderer. Eh, whatever. So, now I'm moving onto Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher. My sister loved this book and it's only about 290 pages long, so it should be a decently quick read. After that I'll probably be reading some Vince Flynn books

Gross. I'm all for a little romance, but that's overboard.

Haha, I agree. Don't ever read The Notebook or Message In A Bottle, then... I might've said that at the beginning of this thread. Anyway, those are major gross, and kind of boring!

I haven't updated this in a while!
Right now I'm reading Perfect: A Pretty little Liars Novel by Sara Shepard. This series is pretty much addicting. Not really super clean or something, but it's such a mystery! I love it.

I just finished reading the first 4 books for the second time, and last for the first. ^_^ I loved it so much! also really like how he ended the last book. It's not as 'Oh.... the series obviously ended right there FOREVER' as most other books. It's more like a 'Oh.... it ended. Temporarily. But there's a lot of options for another book series and I CAN'T WAIT!' Kinda ending. Not like the end of Gregor the Overlander. HORRIBLE ending. So, what're you reading now? What's your favorite book? What books would you never recommend and why? Right now I'm reading To Kill a Mockingbird. For school, but it's still good! ^_^ On about chapter 21 or 22.... can't remember. Favorite book? I don't know. Series of Unfortunate Events was pretty good... so is the Larklight series... and Charlie Bone is great. Hmm. Romance Novels in general. Not so great plots. Now then, a totally climactic adventure story where the one guy is resucing the one girl out of the goodness of his heart, with some romance, that's fine. Hmm... *coughTitansCursecough*
